SILVER CURVE RECORDS is looking for enthusiastic, motivated interns for our Internship Program.

PURPOSE:
To expose college student to hands on work experience in their field of Graphic Design or Social Media Marketing. This internship is a great introduction to the production chain of a major record label. Interns are in close proximity to artists and the creative process of completing an album/single and music video. The candidate will play a supporting role in day to day operations of designing and marketing as well as interacting with artists, songwriters, music producers and other graphic designers and marketing professionals in the entertainment industry.

PAST SILVER CURVE RECORDS INTERNS HAVE HAD EXPERIENCE IN:
Sitting in on mastering sessions a couple times a month (when available/when possible) Playing an active role in giving creative input on new marketing plans for the label website and gained a deeper understanding of how each artist markets themselves to licensing companies and editors
Becoming more familiar and comfortable with mastering/studio terminology, and gaining a comprehensive understanding of how the mastering process works on both a technical and musical level
Filming music videos and feature film productions and promotional videos for artists and the label
Silver Curve Records is hiring interns for 3 days a week to work from home or in NYC or Brooklyn or Jersey City/Hoboken.

MARKETING ASSISTANT
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Detail oriented, fast working, organized, resourceful, friendly and can multi-task.
Help with existing email marketing campaigns and create new campaigns for artists.
Assist with monthly newsletter for label artists, events and releases.
Support with all press events (book rooms including theater, VIP lists, create basic schedules)
Stay on top of press mailings: update distribution list & ensure timeline mailings
Keep track of ongoing publicity projects with responsibilities and deadline
Update talent photos, style guide elements, keynote presentations, videos, and process images
Assist in brainstorming of social media posts and publicity mailers
Update comedy feature film project, soundtrack promotion, promoter lists, film stills, etc.
Provide support in creation of album cover d├ęcor, movie banners/ads, including liaising with print shop
Assist with distribution of marketing materials for approval, including publishing scripts, stills, and plush

GRAPHIC DESIGNERS

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Detail oriented, fast working, organized, resourceful, friendly and can multi-task.
2+ years of design experience with Photoshop
Great understanding of the design and production process
Computer skills: Proficient Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, PhotoShop, Illustrator
Graphic Designer will execute mainly on print deliverables against marketing briefs for a variety of deliverables, including print ads, album covers and a variety of website pieces such as banners and backdrops, and posters and other brand image pieces.
Collaborate with creative director, promo producers, marketing directors and other internal stakeholders to generate design ideas that align with marketing goals

We are looking for people who are:

Interested in the music business and/or entertainment industry
Hardworking, dedicated and self motivated

You must be able to work 1 or 2 days a week, unless specified, from home and be at least 16 years old. You must be able to commit to this time frame in order to be considered. If your school schedule differs from this time frame, we are willing to work around your schedule. Please still apply, we will try to work something out.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience in the Studio/Music Business world is preferred, but not required.
Student must have a desire to learn.
Proper phone etiquette (friendly, courteous, business-like, ability to take proper messages and relay accurate information).
Computer (PC) skills such as Outlook, Microsoft Office applications, and basic Internet skills.
Must be an undergraduate student enrolled in an accredited college and be receiving academic credit for an internship.
Internships require a commitment of at least 4 hours per week for a minimum of 12 weeks.
Interest in pursuing a career in Entertainment or Music.
Exceptional interpersonal, communication, writing and organizational skills required.
Must be pro-active, detailed oriented, and possess good follow-through while adhering to deadlines.
Must be able to multi-task and prioritize tasks sufficiently while working independently.
Strong interest in the music industry preferred.
Strong organizational skills are preferred.
Candidate must be reliable and have good time management skills.

Internships are mostly unpaid, but check with your school about earning college credit. We will help take care of any paperwork relating to college coursework.
